Getting to Oregon Zoo's ZooLights

It wouldn't be the holidays in Portland without a visit to ZooLights, and this year, there's a new way to illuminate the season! A new drive-through experience lets visitors enjoy a dazzling display of 1.5 million lights from their cars.
Advanced, timed-ticketing is required.
How the Drive-Through Experience Works
Explore ZooLights in a whole new way! Drive through the zoo and experience behind-the-scenes areas including the outside of Elephant Lands as well as immersive tunnels of lights and whimsical displays. Each drive-through will be approximately 30-40 minutes.
Drive-Through Check-In
When you arrive at the zoo, you'll join a queue to check-in curbside, then proceed to the drive-through entrance.

Check in north of Lot C

Drivers must wear a mask during check-in

Have your tickets ready to scan at your car window

Members: please have ID with your tickets

From Highway 26

Take Exit 72 and continue right onto SW Canyon Road

As you approach the park, stay left and follow signs to remain on SW Canyon Road

From SW Canyon Road, turn right at the North Entrance of Parking Lot C
Vehicle Requirements

Vehicle size must be no larger than a full-size long bed truck. Maximum vehicle sizes are the following: 10' tall, 8.5' wide and 18.75' long

Vehicles with loud exhaust or engine modifications will NOT be permitted entry

No chains or studded tires

The Oregon Zoo is committed to helping keep the community healthy and safe.

Face masks are required for everyone 5 years and older while visiting Oregon Zoo.

Zoo visitors need not wear a face-covering while observing the lights from their personal vehicle. Zoo visitors must wear a face-covering while interacting with staff or if outside vehicle for any reason.
